Great is Thy faithfulness,

O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy
compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed Thy
hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and

springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in
their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness,
mercy and love.

Great is Thy faithfulness!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed Thy
hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth

Thine own dear presence
to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and
bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with
ten thousand beside!

Great is Thy faithfulness!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed Thy
hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me!

Great Is Thy Faithfulness Lyrics

Incredible Is Thy Faithfulness is a mainstream Christian song composed by Thomas Chisholm (1866–1960) with music made by William M. Runyan (1870–1957) around there, Kansas, U.S.

The expression “incredible is thy dependability” comes from the Old Testament Book of Lamentations 3:23. These careful words happen in both the King James Bible and the Revised Standard Version.

Thomas O. Chisholm composed the sonnet in 1923 about God’s dedication over his lifetime. Chisholm sent the melody to William Runyan in Kansas, who was associated with both the Moody Bible Institute and Hope Publishing Company. Runyan set up the sonnet with a good soundtrack, and it was distributed that very year by Hope Publishing Company and got mainstream among chapel groups.

The Biblical verses reference Lamentations 3:22-23. The tune was presented to wide crowds in the wake of getting famous with Dr. William Henry Houghton of the Moody Bible Institute and Billy Graham, who utilized the tune regularly on his global crusades. Since the center twentieth century, this song has been the college psalm of Cairn University.

In 2019, the melody entered the public area in the United States.
